Miromar Lakes Ends 2008, Begins 2009 with Healthy Sales Activity

MIROMAR LAKES, FLA. - Sales activity at Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club closed strongly in 2008 and the momentum is growing in 2009. The last six months have included the release of a new beachfront neighborhood resulting in immediate reservations, the sale of six estate homes, the addition of a new custom home builder in the preferred builder program, the opening of new furnished models and the introduction of several new floor plan choices.
According to Steve Wolfson, Director of Sales for Miromar Lakes, "We are experiencing a strong flow of buyers visiting our sales center. They now realize there is a good balance between attractive pricing and the availability of low interest financing."
Costa Amalfi, a waterfront neighborhood of sixteen single-family home sites was announced in late October 2008 and eight sites have been reserved. Home sites in Costa Amalfi begin at $300,000. Each site features frontage along a wide stretch of private white sandy beach and southwest views across 250-acre Lake Como. The neighborhood will also have boat slips available, providing easy access to over 700 acres of contiguous aquamarine freshwater lakes.
Six estate and grand estate homes have been sold at Miromar Lakes in the past four months, varying in price from $1,275,000 to $3,700,000. The sales have taken place in four different waterfront neighborhoods at Miromar Lakes. The largest of these homes, currently under construction, is over 8,000 total square feet.
Miromar Lakes welcomed Michelangelo Homes to its roster of preferred luxury home builders in 2008. The Fort Myers-based builder purchased three home sites in Murano, a waterfront estate home neighborhood in The Peninsula at Miromar Lakes. An international company, Michelangelo Homes has created award-winning custom homes in upscale communities throughout Southwest Florida. Michelangelo Homes' sister company is Sunrise Yachts, a mega yacht company, with vessels ranging in size from 150 to over 250 feet, located on the shores of the Mediterranean in Antalya, Turkey.
Looking ahead, 2009 will bring several new floor plan choices to Miromar Lakes. Michelangelo Homes and Distinctive Communities have recently been announced as the builders in Costa Amalfi and they have just completed preliminary plans for Beach Cottages which will introduce a unique residential design to Southwest Florida.
Positano, a new multi-story residence, was recently announced. The builder, Paradigm Companies, is offering several new floor plans and a fresh building design in this beachfront neighborhood within the private gated Costa del Lago enclave at Miromar Lakes.
Portofino, a waterfront neighborhood in The Peninsula section of Miromar Lakes by London Bay Homes (named America's Best Builder in 2008), is adding two new floor plans. The two new plans join three other luxury estate home designs in Portofino, all offering numerous optional configurations for individual needs.
Earlier this month, Porto Romano, a luxury villa neighborhood by Benderson Development, opened three new furnished models. Porto Romano is located in a private gated enclave, surrounded by the Miromar Lakes golf course.
In addition to dozens of floor plan choices, Miromar Lakes has 18 furnished models available to tour daily. Says Wolfson: "Our large model selection provides prospective buyers with the opportunity to envision the Miromar Lakes lifestyle and find the perfect home for their family. Because we offer a variety of waterfront neighborhoods with dockage, we often take customers to see the models by boat."
